Terms of participation
1. The Study
The AI Oversight Study (the “Study”) is run by U22A8 Inc., a corporation incorporated under the laws of Canada (“we”, “us”). These terms govern taking part in the Study through oversight.study. By answering the survey, you accept them.
2. Taking part
Taking part is voluntary and free, and there is no payment for it. You may skip any optional question and stop at any time. You must be old enough to consent to these terms in your jurisdiction, and you answer on your own behalf, about your own work.
3. Your answers
You grant us a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to store, analyze and publish your answers in aggregated or de-identified form, as part of the Study’s results and the comparisons described in §4. Do not include information you are not permitted to share, such as your employer’s confidential information, or information that identifies another person.
4. Invitation links
An organization may ask us for an invitation link and share it with its people. We count the answers given through the link together. Once enough have arrived, we send the person who asked for the link an analysis of how the group compares with the combined results. We do not guarantee that a comparison will be produced for any link.
5. Results
The Study’s results describe what respondents reported. They are not advice, and they are not a statement about any organization or person.
6. Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy, which governs over these terms where the two conflict.
7. No warranty, and limitation of liability
The Study and this site are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from taking part, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date changes with every update. Answers you have already given remain subject to the terms in force when you gave them.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it.
